My Father, The Dreamer
My father passed away about five years ago because of leukemia.
He was an architect and the head of a small interior designing company… He had quite a temper and a tendency to be ridiculously strict. Although, he was funny at times, a bit philosophical and had taken a liking to Meowth from Pokemon and Goku from Dragonball Z. I have mixed feelings towards him, to be honest.
Dad was also dreamer. He had a lot of goals he wanted to accomplish and one of those was to build a new house for our family.
Mom was browsing through the backup files in our old computer. Apparently, she was looking to see if there were still some of dad’s project files left undeleted. Minutes later, she found a picture. Our supposed dream house that dad had made via Microcadd. The strange thing was… the house was floating in midair with the blue, blue sky as it’s background.
It took me a few seconds to process the message.
There was a part of my brain that suggested that it was just some odd coincidence, that it didn’t really mean anything… but a part of it, a more dominant part, told me that dad was waiting for us in that big dream house up in the sky.
I choked back tears and looked away from my mom
