Anime’ Convention: Ozinefest ‘09, baby!

NOTE: Most of this was copy pasted from my deviant journal. So, yeah. I’m lazy like that. Lol. XD

We (Faye, Karla, Trizia and moi) were at SM Megamall last April 3 and went to (supposedly) the biggest anime’ event of the year.

So, chyeah, we had fun.

I mean, if you don’t count the fact that we stood up for the most part of the whole convention thing, it was pretty enjoyable. Also, count out the walking. And the shoving. And the occasional snobs who apparently don’t know how to be freaking polite when asking for their plastic chairs back (we were standing on them ‘coz we couldn’t see a damn thing)… but moving on…

Lol. We also saw ’shorts man’ who was wearing his ultra short leather… shorts. The weird thing was, he was EVERYWHERE. Everytime we moved to some place, he manages to always be within our line of sight. I mean, how weird is that? Was he stalking us or something? -shifty eyes- Some people say he’s cosplaying a guy from some Japanese show I haven’t heard of but… oh well.

There was also a Maid Cafe’ (which we didn’t go to because all of us in our group are girls) and a Host Club thingy (which we also didn’t go to because we didn’t know what to say to the guys). Uh… there was also this weird wishing thingy we tried out… you know, the one where we’re supposed to write on a piece of paper and hang it on bamboo poles..? Lots of anime’ stuff for sale too (like the cool Death Note messenger bag I couldn’t afford), anime’ karaoke, a chocolate eating contest, a ramen eating contest (and other eating contests), fish scooping… and various other Japanese-y games. There was also an art contest, but I didn’t participate D: Partly because I wasn’t confident enough, and I didn’t know where to sign up.

I did, however, join an anime’ quiz and (surprisingly) won. Haha. Got a cute little bento box as a prize. XDDD

There were also lots of cosplay people. LOTS of them (217 signed up for the contest and quite a number didn’t sign up but were in costumes). If I manage to get the photos from my friends (yes, Trizia and Faye, I am looking at YOU). I’ll probably put them in an album too. Lol.

Sigh. There is so much more to rant about… but I think I’m boring you. So I’ll stop here.
